You could, however, buy through a registered buyer, which is what I did. The auction started around 9:30 am. I arrived at 9:00, and hung around the area where the bikes were parked. I watched all the potential buyers who were looking over the bike for their body language. There were about 30 people hanging around, but the majority were checking out mainly the Jap bikes and the odd Triumph and BMW. No-one checked out the frame number which to me, would have given the game up. I found a buyer, paid him $100 bucks for his time and told him to make sure the bike was mine. $1900 dollars later it was mine.
