[1] I suspect that in the small print before you proceed to the online quote there is a statement along the lines of "By proceeding you are declaring that the bike is registered to you... and not modified" etc etc, possibly adding that you if you do have mods to declare you need to ring them. Most insurers don't hike the quote for mods, note, they simply make a note of them and refuse to cover them in the case of accident damage. With insurers it pays to have ticked all the boxes, and undeclared mods - e.g. go-faster cans - do give them the option of refusing to pay out, which would make me nervous.
[2] With 9 yrs NCD, why not get Fully Comp? I'd be surprised if it was much more, if at all.
