I had my DAS test at 8:10 this morning - which meant getting up before 6, and driving over to pick up the bike and instructor from RideSure at 6:45 in the mist and fog and then riding into Guildford. Got there early and Trevor took me onto a couple of housing estates to practice my U-turn as that was the thing that I was least confident about - did 4 of them with no problem so off we went to the test centre got there and it was too early for the cafe to be open so no coffee before going out
Anyway went out with the examiner, did all the stuff . . . and passed - hurrah
, got 3 minors two where related to missing a 40 sign so ended up doing 30 for a while in that limit and then didn't pull away smoothly at a junction - other than that all done!
Trevor, the instructor at RideSure, is a great bloke and certainly helped me crack the u turn and get everything else sorted, so thanks to him.
Just got to get a bike now
