Anyway went out with the examiner, did all the stuff . . . and passed - hurrah  , got 3 minors two where related to missing a 40 sign so ended up doing 30 for a while in that limit and then didn't pull away smoothly at a junction - other than that all done!
Trevor, the instructor at RideSure, is a great bloke and certainly helped me crack the u turn and get everything else sorted, so thanks to him.
Just got to get a bike now

yay well done!!! i hated doing my u-turns. i failed on that. and once you've done your test you never need to do them again. my whole test thing was a horrible experience. when i failed they left me sitting outside on my own for 20mins in the rain even though i asked them to call my instuctor to come get me.
