Both myself and Jolley did Ron Haslam today and while I enjoyed it, CSS was far better IMHO.
On the plus side Ron Haslam is out on a track so you get to deal with positive and negative camber, hairpins, blind corners etc. Negative is that you are 2 to 1 with an instructor and you just get towed around (slowly in out case). Plus all of the instructors feedback is based on what he sees in his mirrors?

Andy was very slick, enthusiastic, and a nice chap. Was it just me, or did the classroom sessions seem a lot shorter than the track sessions? They didn't seem to drag on because they were fun.
I have to agree CSS was better than Ron Haslam. I am not knocking Ron Haslam, but you get more time on track with CSS and you get more tuition on how to turn your bike. Ron Haslam assumes you know what you are doing and is more of a guide around track. Unfortunately the Instructor at Ron Haslam(who you foillow) has to set a pace to the pair of riders he is with. The pace for my session only sped up to a level where I was starting to feel fast on my last 2 laps..... when we got back to the pits I found out it is because the second chap had fallen 2 laps from the end!! I did enjoy Ron Haslam and I did learn a couple of things, but I would certainly recommend to friends that they concentrate on working through the CSS levels instead (as a minimum level 1 for any new bikers).

I saw that. I didn't want to ask encase it was a biking accident! Absolutely fair play to him. I didn't see him ride, but as others have said he did get one of the Most Improved prizes.
