Was that the multi-coloured hedge? I think that was one of the few things I did spot - my eyes were mostly only on the road ahead (and occasionally behind).
Thanks everyone for your company today - felt really good to be out with the clan - even if I was a bit of a laggard at times
I was also glad to be out of the rain, and the final leg up the A38 towards Wellington gave me my confidence back. Er, today was my first ride in the rain....
I think I've had enough of windy roads for the moment though. I look forward to a relaxing evening now - don't think I'll be capable of much more.
Jimmy996 - had you told me that there'd be a
CLIFF by the side of the road on that last leg to the A road then I might have found another route... I don't mind snakes, spiders and even the odd cockroach, but cliffs by the side of the road have filled me with terror since I was a child... Oh, yeah, I
loved that bit of the road... not. I think I might need to be in charge of the map reading next time
Cheers all - have a great evening.
Finally
AndyRH - so, so sorry you could not join us - wish you'd left when your bike started working again - you would easily have caught up to us before the meet up... Next time - at least you have the Northwest200 to look forward to - only a week away, as you said this morning.
