Actually mate I have taken on board what you say, as I want to make a couple of pieces up from scratch, pieces which will be visible, so it will be important to get the weave all nice and uniform.
The air deflectors for the back of the MY97 fairings, which I bought from Imola Duke, for example, I asked a couple of carbon manufacturers but they werent really interested in small one off jobs. Also I want to make some blanks to fill in the fairing indicator holes, but these will be painted over so the weave alignment is not so important.
