I'm not sure that he actually ripped out the throttle slide, but legends are built on this stuff!
Money helps but it can't make up for a lack of ability...
Mike's dad backed his son, but I never heard of any stories about riders being asked to throw a race...
Which's more than can be said for Barry Sheene and his dad Franco Sheene.
