Hi

The service schedule is in the back of the owners manual. If you havent got one, if you write to Ducati in Bologna with the VIN and reg number they will send you one foc!

The 996 manual, which is very similar to the 916 one is on line here:

Ducati.com || Bikes || Ducati Service || Manuals

I would insist on an itemised receipt in future. The description they used is meaningless, as there is no such thing as a "belt service"! It should be a 6000 or 12000 mile service, which should include all the items in the manual.

When I bought my 999 from Parkinsons it had been serviced before the sale, and it came with a check list showing what had been done. Although it revealed that the valve clearances hadnt been checked, at least I know what was done. which in my opinion is how it should be!
