Your more likely to get a discount if you pay cash but why limit yourself to Dainese as this limits your options? There are plenty of great manufacturers/brands out there and from all the news everyone is feeling the pinch.

It's a buyers market and they probably need the sale more than you need to buy so remember you have got a significant advantage.

Get the owner/manager if you can , get them talking about the product, have some fun, then towards the end of the conversation say something along the lines of 'I would like to buy x, but you need a deal, promise future custom, flatter the product, but you need a deal to make this purchase. Don't say "want" the effective word is "need".

You'll probably get sighs, exaggerated facial expressions and body movement in response but its all show, but if the answer is no thank him and go elsewhere.

When someone else says yes, once the discount is offered the principle is made and now you have to get the price as low as you can. If he says its his final offer, try and get a further 5% off for a particular set of leathers for any defect you can see. If not walk away then go back in a fews days time to see if the fella has changed his mind.

If the above is more ar5e ache you can stand I can appreciate that point.

Then again I can't believe I paid full price for my Ducati and didn't even get a full tank of fuel A true tail of my heart ruling my head which is good for the soul....occassionally.
