It is hard to fathom. Any journalist worthy of the description will know that they can go on to a message board like this one and get ALL the answers they need, (free)rehash it and write a pukka article, even that is assuming that they know f... all about the subject in the first place!
RIDE is rubbish anyway, BIKE quite a bit better I find with a bit more expertise and experience from it's writing staff. I suppose the snag is that reading about bikes is a poor substitute for riding them!
