I was going to 2nd that, but looking at my looking at my gloves from my Brands spill, the knuckles did take a beating but the wrist protection shows signs of wear too. I remember my wrist felt like it had been banged about afterwards. My new 'focussed' gloves have a lot more protection on the wrist and look as though they would spread any impact over a large area.
IMHO, those gloves look too short in the wrist. You only need your jacket sleeve to ride up a little and you're sliding down the road on your skin.
That said, my jacket is worn through on both elbows.
