I have a 98 900ss ef which I bought from new and have enjoyed all these years with only minor niggles, however all of a sudden it has started to misbehave. After approx 90 miles it cuts out with no warning. It will start ok but as soon as you hit 2,000 rpm it cuts out again, start no problem and again as soon as you hit 2,000 rpm it cuts out. If you leave for approx 20mins the problem has disappeared, however 20 mile further down the road it happens again. My thoughts are something to do with the fuel injection and or temperature Has any one had this happen to them and can anyone suggest how to cure it. When I phoned my local Ducati service department after hearing my tale he took a sharp intake of breath and said it could be very expensive. Can anyone help please?
