Could be your ignition pickups... had this happen to me on a triumph... same symptoms and at first misdiagnosed as fuel starvation. Simple enough to check with a multimeter by checking their resistance. if memory serves me well they should be somewhere between 95-105 ohms (if i'm wrong someone put me right) anything else and they are naff. when they start "dying" they do give similar symptoms to fuel startvation. hope this helps
