I'm with rattler!! I was talkin to a dyno tuning station in nottingham and they said that the air box was a must, as it caused erratic fueling issues, they liked it as it went quicker! but during actual track testing thats were the problems arose.

But David, is it just the issue of accessing that particular area? On my monster i didn't believe it's that hard to get there?(i've had to do it sooo many times now lol!) think i've got it down to about 20 mins? but i suppose if you can get it quicker than that it'll help along the line. Have you put it on a dyno yet fella? I know it's a bit of a steap price but it's gotta be worth it?!
