Thanks for that it would be the same for the sport and I wouldn't have noticed until the day before a big trip when I tried and fit the rack!!!!! If I did the conversion I might revert back to the original tail piece when fitting the rack so the lights are not underneath it see how much hassle it is.

CTT, I gave you a bum steer on that one about shortening the L bars, you do not have to shorten them, the end of the L bars ends up on the subframe behind the top mount of the shock absorber and just makes it a bit more fiddly to get the nut on, that is the only problem, sorry about that,
