I can't fit the old clamps because for starters the 600 pipes arn't as wide as the 900s'. Unless any of you guys have a better idea, the only thing I can think of doing is to :
File the inside of the old clamps to fit the wider 900 pipes
Cut off the collars and slide the clamps on.
Replace with the 600 collars, which will then also give me the right collar thickness.
Now heres my all important question, would I get away with braising the collars back on or should I get them welded?
No they havent, as they are not the same style as the 600 ones, they are actually loose items, you have a flange that fits over the headders and can come off without cutting.

To hold them on you have to use the special 900ss flanges and also 2 1/2 rings on each one, would be easier to show in a picture.....

flanges and half rings are about £50 for the 2 sets..

oh and you couldnt really mod the 600 ones to fit either..
