Just a bit of an insite into my madness and the ST3 saga. The ST3 is stuck in the middle of the ST2 and ST4 all of which are from the touring side of the ducati family. The number I believe representing number of valves. The ST3 engine runs two inlet valves (34mm I think and a single 45mm exhaust which I might be able to mate my Silmotor exhaust to) is water cooled and has 50mm throttle bodies and 40mm headers. I wanted one of these engines for a while and they are like rocking horse poo!. The size of the heads are similar to the DS. I hope I can fit a small radiator above the front cylinder and the oil cooler in the headlight fairing. Use pod filters maybe to over come the air box. Well thats me thinking.
A standard ST3 makes about 100bhp with end cans/fueling 105bhp n 70lb of torque. With a bit of gas flowing maybe 110bhp its just to much of a temptation for me not to try
