Brugge is a great, easy trip from the UK. Only about an hour from the getting off of the tunnel. There are plenty of good hotels which are all very similar in my experience. It's very tight and twisty in the middle of town, nowhere is very far from anywhere else.

We've stayed at Martins Martin's Brugge , which is modern and convenient for the touristy stuff in the middle. It's a couple of hundred yards from the main square and has secure parking - not that much though, space is at a premium in Brugge. Enjoy the beer and chocs, watch out for Kwak beer. It's dangerous.
