Even a "corse" hub should have the posts on it. Could you post a picture? Also as you say putting the standard hub back in does defeat the weight saving excersise a bit.

Thats whats throwing me too....any hub has to support the pressure plate and springs....so it sounds like you dont have the complete assembly.....
