I am in talks with an engineer who has designed a kit for the clutch. He has been running these kits for 15 years for friends and his own Duc's. these can be retro fitted, by anyone who can service thier own clutches, to new or worn baskets/drums and that takes the clank-clank from the clutch.

It also dramatically reduces the wear on basket, drum and plates. You will not get the grooving of the basket and tangs of the plates. The more these wear, the noisier the clutch becomes.

This kit will not help if your friction material on your plates has gone, although it prolongs the life of the plates you do have.

The other benefit of this kit, is that is reduces dust build-up from the clutch, resulting in a cleaner clutch pack and engine, if you run an open clutch cover.

The engine is always "hammering" the clutch, when running, exacebating the problem. This kit reduces the clonking sound and makes the clutch run much much quieter. The only noise from the clutch would be the "jingle" when you pull the clutch lever in.

I have yet to acertain a price for these but it would be a big saving from buying repalcement basket, drum and plates.

It can be fitted to all Ducati dry clutches and it will come with full colour step by step fitment guide. Although it cannot be fitted to slipper clutches.

I will have to get an order of 10 to get an initial production run going.

If anyone is interested please PM me your interest. It may take some organising to arrange this first batch so please bear with me.

I will be removing my STM slipper for the road to fit this kit.

No more "'ear mate your engines goin' to blow up!"

Dan, if I can get this to take off, I am prepared to take out advertising space and also make a donation to the site.
