Most riders then switched to wets and carried on as normal but for us standard road tyre boys it was getting a bit fruity. I lost count of the number of riders going off piste throughout the day which tends to put you off a bit too.

I was one of the fallers - yellow 996 in novices, front went the instant i touched the brakes heading in to the last corner (Lodge?). Bike slid for a long way and ended up buried in the gravel. Looking very secondhand now!
I will post some photos as soon as I get them...
