Right then - had a few rides out on the new clutch .... really weeeiirrrrdddd not having that rattle accompanying me!!! ...and no, I'm not sure I like the silence.....

I need a bit of advice though before I mess things up.....

The new clutch is an ali/steel mix in an ergal basket... when clutch lever is fully out there is no slippage, not even if I snap the throttle open at high revs. But, if I even slightly ease the clutch lever in, there's no 'graduation' to the bite, it slips immediately like a bad'un. So, you've guessed it, if you wind up revs in neutral when stopped, then try to ease the clutch out, you get nothing, nothing, slip, slip, slip, wheelspin, slip, then it bites and you launch with the front wheel pawing the air ...... not a lot of fun manouvering in traffic!

So, is this purely to do with it being new and it will wear itself in? If not, how do I get the 'feeling' back into it - do I take out a steel plate (still got two in the base of the pack), put more tension in the springs with washers or spacers? What do you suggest ?

edit : Is the best way to adjust this by winding the plunger on the master cylinder in a bit?
