lowering a multi

I am on the search for the ideal other bike to keep alongside my blade. I'd like another ducati and the idea of a more upright, easy riding bike strongly appeals!!

having tried a hyper that seemd fun and comfy, but had a quick sit on two up and there is not enough room for a passenger, other than to the shops up the road! so thats out....

I have tried a couple of multis, and although found them a bit wallowy when cracking on, I'd be surprised if it is much different on the competition - eg 1200gs or dl1000

biggest issue is height, both getting on (rear seat) and touching the floor

how much can they be lowered, and not sacrice too much ground clearance? bearing in mind my st2 ran out often, I'm cautious of it being too low as I do carry a nice lean angle and corner speed

otherwise, its non ducati again!!
