I had a 48 tooth STM non-slipper clutch in my 748, and that was a very nice job too. And quite a bit cheaper than £1300, although dearer than the stock set-up.

Unfortunately the bike was SMIDSY'd before I could make a fair comparison on basket longevity, but common-sense suggests they should last longer.
