Hello all,

I recently got my hands on a tired 750SS and thought it a good idea to join up here and read everything I can find about the her!

She's a 97 vintage yellow full faired model, interestingly with twin front lamps. I'm guessing these are a mod and not a factory job, but they look nice anyway. She's been passed around quite a few people who i think have bought her, been scared by the ensuing stories about Italian bikes, got nervous about doing anything to her and then selling her to someone else - and so the cycle continues.

I got her from a chap near Reading - top bloke who was honest and upfront about the bike - and transported her back to my workshop oop North for a cursory stripdown and onceover. She starts, coughs and splutters a fair bit but then she's got old fuel in her and the choke cable has snapped so she would do that. A good service with new belts, everything cleaned down and she should be barking much better.

Se's also wearing a pair of Termis at the mo, which will be going up for grabs at some point. I love the sound but I'm determined she will be a factory example and have got some original cans for her. Ditto the front fairing section, lamps and all (thanks to Dan for putting his lamp aside for me by the way), unless someone has some info about this and I've missed something really special about her history.

I'll get some pics up to show her off. She's not in bad shape, plastered in stickers mind, but the tank is dent-free. She will have a complete re-paint and thorough refurb before she goes anywhere near a road though. So, thanks for letting me in and like Stuart's thread, here's my 750SS project!
