Fog City Hyper Optik

I read an article in one of the many bike mags littered around my office about this little insert for the visor.

Fog city Hyper Optics Visor Insert from Bike Stop

Has anybody had any experience with them as I do believe it might be something for me but I don't want to throw away £30 for something ineffective!

I buy one of these every time I buy a clear visor. They do stay mist free and tint just enough to make low winter sun bearable. Great bit of kit.

I had one in my Arai; the only good thing about that lid.

I have one and its excellent, I would heartily recommend them. I did not pay full price though, look around.

I have one on a spare visor and it works very well, although I am not too keen on it for night riding.

Only comment to make when applying to your visor is to make sure the visor is spotlessly clean

I have one and it is brilliant. It has never fogged and tints just enough. the only problem is when I cleaned the inside of my visor, I went away & did something else, came back & fitted the insert & didn't notice that a very fine cat hair had made it's way onto the visor. It's still there......

I had one on my old Arai - a good insert and it worked well.
I prefer the pinlock system on my new Arai. I can change the insert when I want to and it fills the visor better - no gaps.

i love mine, definitely great for those winter mornings where it's dark when you leave for work but the sun is peeking low over the road by the time you get there.

they also go slightly greeny yellow in low light/rainy conditions and this is really helpful too. plus the Fog City aspect, all good really. i found mine scratched quite easily but then i used it every day for months and am not very good at looking after visors.

Thumbs up

Just to add my 2p worth to what everybody else has said. Yes, I use one and, after 40 years of riding (for most of which I've worn full face helmets) it is without doubt THE best way to remain fog free....and the tinting works a treat too!

As somebody else has said, you don't need to pay full RRP but they are still worth it even if you do pay top wack....yes, honestly they are that good
