Get off the bike and push it around; that way you can see exactly where the turning circle is and prove to yourself that you can turn it around.

And, more importantly, don't worry about it!

Didn't have to do a u turn on my test. Still failed the first time though! Stupid back wheel tried to overtake the front on the emergency stop. Don't give up and as the others have said practice and it will fall into place.

Good luck for the next one

Trevor

I couldn't understand why i could do a u turn 1 minute and fail the next. But tonight I have realised i need to weight shift, i actually managed to turn full lock and not put my foot down , doh! so i'm going weight shifting tomorrow. My hopes are back up! yippee

Chin-up, dude. I failed 2 car tests and 2 bike tests - I get so nervous before tests that I am pretty much fit for nothing. I wanted to pass so badly though that I kept coming back for more until it was done. Both times on the bike I dabbed a u-turn. They are not a problem now though, I made sure that if nothing else, I can do a full-lock, leant over ruddy u-turn !!!

The bottom line is that when you pass it will be worth it. The sense of achievement is fantastic, enjoy it when it happens !

Hi mate. I failed my first car test and you know what. Nearly 9 years of accident free driving.

The second time I was relaxed cos I thought myself f*** them, I'll do what I always have done.

So relax, it doesn't say that you're a bad rider. /Relax and do what you've always done. There's only one sitting in the car having a look what you're doing.

not true..as the turning circle of a bike being pushed is bigger than the circle if being ridden.. due to the lean angle...

so I would just stick to the completely look over your shoulder in the direction you want to go way !! you`ll get there in the end !!
