Yes that is definitely an option - but probably more likely to get her a Yamaha Serow (friends and I enjoy lots of off-roading round here).

If we don't get her a bike just yet she'll do some refresher training when we eventually do!

Personally i wouldnt do a 1 week crash course, i would string it out! as its alot to learn in the week, doing it over a period of time is alot better you can learn at your own pace and then you also you have a Test booked for say 5-6 weeks or sooner after the DAS assment then you Fit lessons in (normally 2hrs at a time)till your test Date, If the Instructor thinks you may need an extra week he will move the Date for you! My place dont mess about like some will, They are straight with you, already i have had 3 Students that i tought CBT to go on and Pass there DAS within 4 Weeks!

we also hjave a 95% pass rate

DONT TO CRASH COURSE, i honstly dont see the point
But when Ollie gets his license signed of in May, they are expecting the current pass rate to fall somewhat.....

David,
My better half did here CBT and Direct Access in Taunton only with TSM (I did mine there as well but a few years earlier). Just a word of advice though mate, dont be tempted to buy a bike before she's passed and if she does do her test on a 125 and gets a restricted licence then its not the end of the world (my mates missus did that got a restricted 600 monster and came to Le Mans with us for the GP). Oh by the way if she does get a restricted licence there is no other test, its just a two year limit on the licence after two years she can ride whatever she likes. However if she want to take the restictors off before the two years are up she wil have to take another test.
What Tracy (the owner of TSM) recommemded after Kersty failed twice was that although Kersty had her own Hornet 600 she should do the 125 (restricted) test and bugger me she passed straight away, not because she was any better but that male examiners have a preconception that small women on big bikes are dangerous and tend to fail more than they pass.......

Cyprus Test centre

A trip to Cyprus and the Test centre in Dhekelia but you will have to book, The test lasts about 5 mins and as long as she doesnt fall off and can negotiate a roundabout (Right hander) will make the grade and you can make a holiday out of it.
Then just put her through her a few hours of moto GP on the X Box when you get back and she will be ready to roll!!

Well, Mrs H passed her CBT

Next she has to pass her theory test - this Wednesday

We have the DVD which has been a useful but she is unsure whether to keep practising the hazard perception or not. Does anyone know if they use the same clips on the test or are they totally different?

Interesting - might be worth more practice to perfect them then.

Back of the net!

Mrs H just passed her Theory Test.
35/35 for the questions
54/75 for the hazard perception - and the clips were all different from the DVD
