Cool

Yam RD 250B - the original RD...wish I still had that bike now. The test was laughably easy, once round a park without falling off - mind that was nearly 200 years ago.

Bike: Ducati S2R 800 2007

An ER5 , about 5 weeks and 2 days ago, not that I'm counting or anything.

I need a big bike now , AHHHHHHHHH , I'm not going crazy really.

At least I,m getting a test ride of a S2R 800 tomorrow, on local roads, from my local dealer at last.

When did the chair thing come in then ? I remember in the early 70's the limit was 250 or larger with a combo.
Wish I still had my Velo Thruxton, and my Square four !!

Early 80's just before the 125 law came in ...

... I did it on my 350LC which had '250' side panels on it ... the coppers never looked hard enough or knew the difference (250s had single front disk).

How I wish I still had it now

Did anyone else see the fantastic collection of 80's 2-strokes at the recent SW Motorcycle Show?

Immaculate RD500s, a brace of LCs, a couple of YPVSs, a Fizzy or two and even an AP50 ... my first bike!!

Gorgeous

Did yours have loads of mirrors and spots and a tank aeriel with a tiger tail (free with Esso petrol) at the top - mine was plain, no side panels even. I owned it jointly with a friend and used it to go to school in sixth form.
Oh god yes, it had the works......no carbon fibre in those days, it was all chrome, chrome and more chrome

Have a look at this ... Chronology of Motorcycle Legislation in Britain The First Century

What a sad history of persecution.

I think maybe Paivi's right, y'know?

Mine was an ER5 in may this year. Easy to ride, easy to pass.
