Yamaha RD125LC - brilliant little bike that felt quite quick in 1980
Passed the test (it stalled on my emergency stop (because I'd left the choke on )

Rode straight from the test centre to the local Kwack dealer, traded it in for £750, paid the balance of £400 and rode away on a GT750 (shaftie toury thingy). It felt like I was riding a rocket ship!!!!!
I spent the next couple of weeks hurtling around like a looney, flapping behind the handlebars till I got used to it.
I remember giving it the berries and sliding back onto the pillion seat under the awesome acceleration.

So that'll be the NVA and you then gsb?

Probably the best thing you could do with the Kwak ER5 I took my test on, would be to fire an AIM9 at it!

Nov 1980, on a mates CB125. It ran out of petrol on the way back to the test centre, with 100 yards left to go. I still passed!
