... I did it on my 350LC which had '250' side panels on it ... the coppers never looked hard enough or knew the difference (250s had single front disk).
How I wish I still had it now

Snap-ish i did mine on an RD250LC but same colour as this one tho i had painted the frame blue and wheels white - trust me it looked better than it sounds!! What a bike they were!
Test was laughable back in the 80s !!

Ratty GS500 with crash bars, lever protectors, scratches rust and scuffs.
I gave it back to the school after the test, forgot it as I drove home and collected my KR1-S that very afternoon... Here's one just like it..

and my mate took his test on his Honda 250, can't remember the model.
However, this has a rather humerous aside;
I had three buddies who all had hondas. They decided it would look cool if they painted "Honda" on the back of their leather jackets.
None of them could speak Japanese, so they got their owners manuals out and proceeded to try and track down "Honda" from there. They found the phrase which occurred most frequently and got down to painting.
Some months later, mate no. 1's brother returned from Tokyo, where he had been working for the past two years.
Richard, "why have you got "Genuine Spare Part" written on your back?"

ER5 N was awful! Really excited about first time on 'proper' bike and hated it

We are actually, as the tail gets in the way in the U-turns.
I got mine automatically with my car licence all those years ago. On the continent, that was the norm until the early 1990s, you see. 8)
