Dealers and Workshops Have you say about the Ducati Dealer or Bike Shop near you. How good was the spanner man, what was the price, or did you get a discount?

London Area for Servicing?

Having had terrible problems from Metropolis where I bought my 1098s and unwilling to let them touch my bike again, interested to know where the best place in London or thereabouts to get my bike serviced in the future. Seeking to avoid rip-off merchants who believe that just because you have a 1098 they can take you to the cleaners.

Personally I always use Bret up at Daytona Kings Cross. He's a top bloke and has always, seemingly, given me a good deal.

I can agree with Mini Mo he and in general they as a shop are ok but I am going to Moto Rapido in Winchester. Great value for money and boy they know what to do. I go to Daytona when something little brakes down, parts, a bit of technical know how and will go for 6k service but again big one Moto Rapido Ducati Sales, Service, Tuning, Racing, Parts

ProTwins or MotoRapido. Both excellent. ProTwins raced 1098s last year and are racing 1098R s this year. They have a lot of experience with the bikes.

I use Dave Robinson for everything now. I think that you might struggle with the warranty, but I had loads of problems with my 749 and went to all the local dealers. DLC/ DLS (before they closed) Ducati Aylesbury, Daytona, but the only guy to fix it was Dave. He is based in Wandsworth.

For warranty work, I use Brett at Daytona King's Cross, a lovely bloke and doesn't do anything that doesn't need doing.

For non-warranty work, I use either Dave Robinson in Wandsworth or Alec & Matt at Ducati ProTeam in Wimbledon.

ive used ducati aylesbury, parkinsons of colchester, pro twins but finally settled on the best imho mitch at techmoto - loads of time for his customers no job too big or small and very good prices.

I'd add another shout for Brett. Genuinely decent bloke and happy to chat. Prices seem reasonable too.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Brett is reasonably close to where I work so I'll give him a call.

yes, provided you get a day off to get hold of them.... beginning of the week I've fixed an appointment with them for the first service on my Ducati 1098, a phone call + an email of confirmation... I also wanted to buy and fit some DP parts etc.. They explained me they close the workshop at 5.30 sharp... fair enough, I rushed out of the office and I popped there at 5.15 and... the workshop was already closed... no sign of life.... very professional indeed...I divert my money elsewhere...
