Motorline Ashford
New Management - but same attitude .
I am posting this although it didnt happen to me personally , but i am posting this at the request of a very good freind who would like the general public and ducatisti to know of his experiance
Motorline recently his Ducati 999R into their showroom to sell, he didnt ask them to, they offered as they had seen the bike and wanted it in their showroom as it was such a good example. He was very clear about the minimum price he would accept for it and allowed them to take the bike. Motorline soon told him they had sold the bike and that he could expect £500 less than his minimum price to be returned to him. (apparently they wnated to service the vbike for their customer and expected him to pay for this, even although the bike had recently like 500 miles ago had a service. Very distressed he negotiated and grudgingly agreed a loss of £200. having been told by motorline on a number of occaisions that the bike was sold and that he could have his money soon he didnt get it , but did get his bike returned even if they couldnt be bothered to bring back the standand parts / exhaust etc with them.
It seems he is a person who likes people to keep their word as far as possible and he feels they had no intention of doing this, to him it is a matter of principle and he will not return to them as a customer again.
