Red face HC Racetech....

has anyone else had any dealings with HC Racetech?
- i bought a race kit for a 900ss from them and it arrived with a really shabby paintjob on it (after a massive delay!!). i have been trying to get a response off them for ages...but no joy.

just wondering if anyone else had the same experience or if anyone know if they have closed down or what...really p*ssed off.

Was there only a few weeks ago following a recommendation from on here. Shambolic, very busy but straight up and pleasant to deal with. I would really recommend getting in touch, visiting personally if possible and sorting your issues out. Didn't seem to be the sort to rip anyone off.

I did a money transfer last sunday he said it had cleared on the Weds and my goods were going to be depatched on Friday.

They arrived today so I'm extremely pleased. I did mention in my email to him , "Quote"

I have not had any acknowledgement from you that everything is in ok and my order is progressing.

I have tried phoning but no one ever answers.

A courtesy mail to keep me informed is not too much to ask and goes a long way toward customer relations. Unquote"

So hope he takes notice.

well just to be fair - HC Racetech have got hold of me (finally) and agreed to send me replacement panels. so, bl**dy slow and not great quality first time round but at least they've made me an offer now.

Well maybe I'm biased... and I hate to be a one man executioner but since, despite chasing and chasing them, I had numerous promises and told that my parts were in x, y, or z stage of prep. and it still took the best part of the entire summer to get my things back to me (in sh*t condition and after two attempts and numerous promises) ... I am still faced with having to get my ruined 'pink' panels rubbed down and resprayed yet again in order to get them back to the original 'Ducati' red they were before they went in. Still unsure where to take them to be honest and excuse me if I'm a bit dubious of anyone making similar claims in the future.

Any suggestions?!

Mine are ready for despatch, will report when they arrive, though I have to say whilst email seems the only way you can communicate I have been kept informed of what is happening so still optimistic

I was not very happy with dealing with HC Racetech. I was originally quoted 3 weeks delivery for my fairing. After enquiring why it was late I was told by email it would be sent out on Monday. It never came. After that I think HC Racetech were refusing to answer the phone and they never answered any emails. In the end the fairing did turn up but 9 weeks after ordering it! I have not heard of anyone not receiving their order, but I would at least double or maybe triple the time they say it will take to be delivered.

Turned up today on time, got to say very happy with it though havent fitted yet, would not agree that better than Ducati but for race plastics they are better than expected and good value.

They never answer the phone though so starange customer service but it worked in my case.

final word

well having given them the benefit of the doubt (and weeks and weeks to sort themselves out!!) i still havent received my replacement panels so i have to say that i would strongly recommend that all of you avoid them if you possibly can.

judging from the other comments on this thread i am not alone and in my personal experience they have been a bunch of cowboys!!!
