Dealers and Workshops Have you say about the Ducati Dealer or Bike Shop near you. How good was the spanner man, what was the price, or did you get a discount?

Question Can anyone recommend a good place for service in Cumbria?

Hi there - I have recently moved to the Lake District and need to find a good place to have my 03 999 serviced and looked after. My nearest dealers are Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow but wanted to know of anyone's experience with them or someone who can be recommended?

Thanks a lot guys.

Ducati MAnchester has quite a good opinion around here.
Click on the forum link and there is a part about dealers.

Can not give you al ink right now as when I click forum mentioned work computer blokes it immidietly.

Thumbs up Dealer service.

The best dealer to go to in the North West is Italsport in Bury, Roy is an ex racer and race mechanic and the original solus dealership. Good service and good prices.

I think you should have a deeper look on the forums about D/Mcr! not trying to **** anyone off but I only live 20 mins max from D/Mcr and haven't set a foot in there in 2 years.

Closest dealers to you would be Italsport, Ducati Leeds or even Ducati Glasgow all come highly recommended.

Freak - like you i'd heard and experienced the horror stories about Ducati Manchester - but there is a completely new team there now and things have changed massively. I took Sophia there to be serviced for the first time a few days ago, and I have to say they did a great job, and the cost was very reaosnable.

Its actually quite a pleasant place to go these days - and the guys in there are really nice and genuine Ducati Fans...

If you haven't been for 2 years - can I suggest you go pay them a visit - you might just be surprised - I was.....

I hear that they are not that keen on gas analysers though to set up the fuel injection.....someone on here who shall remain nameless ended up going to Woods to get the FI sorted out properly after a termi system was fitted because Italsport wouldn't use one, and they also managed to break the airbox and didn't tell him.....

If you don't want a full dealer service V twin Services in Consett are probably the closest and cheapest (depending upon where in Cumbria you are). I use Ducati Leeds even though M and S Newcastle are closer.
