West London Ducati Engineer Sought

My lankey, reliable, trustworthy, knowledgable and reasonably priced bike mechanic, ROB, from Barrington Smith in Hanwell, has moved back to South Africa after he was offered a chance to work for a works Ford Rally team, over there.
My best wishes to him.
But that leaves me and my 748 in need of an equally dependable bike engineer who is local. Can anyone recommend a replacement (other than Daytona in Ruislip).

Many thanks.

Not sure what qualifies as West London and how far you're willing to travel, but I can recommend two independent guys (so no warranty work):

Ducati Proteam (Alec Short), Unit 18, 59 Weir Road, Wimbledon, London SW19 8UG. Tel 020-8947 7555

Dave Robinson, 360 Old York Road, Wandsworth, London SW18 1SS. Tel 020-8871 0503

I can also recommend Brett at Daytona King's Cross (not to be confused with Daytona Ruislip).

6 - 9 Field Street

Is that the place 'first right' after Kings Cross Station heading towards Farringdon? On the right hand side?

(I only ask because I used to pass a bike place everyday when I worked down there).

Yep, from Pentonville Rd, turn right into King's Cross Road and take first right into Flood St and you'll find Daytona at the end of that little alleyway.
