I'm after PERFORMANCE !!

Is this the way to go?
  • Standard air-box with cut-away lid.
  • A K&N filter no 33-2003 that this web-site says is suited for 'modified airbox': K&N AIR/OIL FILTERS DUCATI

I suppose so!, or run no filter at all, like rattler! i believe it's called a "rattler special"
But a good session on a dyno is never a bad thing!! for any engine. so if your after a decent power curve it's deffo the way to go fella IMHO. if you wanna use the K&N i think 90% of the entire paddock would agree with you boss. I'm still running standard at the mo, and my bike is deffo no slouch! just gotta keep it up right now!.

I ran with no air box last year and my old 583 was giving 53BHP at the rear wheel. Basically I cut the air box off where the filter sits, that just leaves the the part that the coils and battery lives in. I then fitted two K&N pod filters, got to say that it sounds awesome watch and listen to THIS. I'll try and post some photos of my mods. I also fitted some Brisk plugs.
