Waiting to turn left at lights and white van man clipped it going straight on, gutted as by the time I had pulled over the mirror had been flattened by the traffic.

It's only a company car, but brand new with less than 2000 miles on the clock, arrrrrgh.

Lucky I wasnt on my bike I suppose, but still aaaaaaaaarrrggh.

The bike looked and sounded great as stated before GOOD LUCK at Oulton.

Know how you feel. My new company car is two weeks old ( done 3k in it already though ) and I came out of the hotel yesterday to find a deep gauge in the bonnet. And its right where I can see it everytime I open the door.

Lightbulb A smiley Steve-GD

Finally got to see whats been keeping the future Father-in-Law busy last night....Looks fantastic....Had to decline Steve's offer to start the beast whilst in the back of the van looking at it. I think there may have been a few disgruntled neighbours.

Gonna try and get a pass for Oulton!!!!!

Well i know your all dying to know my thoughts of my first time out on the bike,

It was fooking Great!!!! also i only went toilet once, was very cool, calm and collected and decided not to run before i could walk, so bike was run up and off out i went for the first session, the plan for me was to run about 4 or 5 laps and then come back in to check some bits.

So first lap out i was amazed at how much room i had out there, and my positioning was totally out, i was very tense so couldnt do what i wanted with the bike all that much. Plus i was just using the first two laps to pick out some RP's to help me later on which i did sucessfully...

well whilst on the 2nd lap around gerrards the bike was feeling like it was bogging down, and not wanting to pull, remember this is a new engine. all it happened to be was me letting off the throttle too much and being in the wrong gear and also the bike being cold, eventually i came in and had to adjust the gear lever it was too high couldnt find any of the gears easily including a couple of false neutrals! ( i also did wonder if i was going to be any good at this, i can ride quick on the roads but this felt loads different)

so the 2nd session arrived and out i went this time i was just out to have fun and that is what i did! i wasnt bothered about the other people out there as i realised they could look after them selfs, so i started of slowly and got used to the feeling of the bike, ther gears were now bang on and with having a warm engine the bike ran a dream, it was so strong out of the corners. coming down the straight towards gerrards and i think to myself oh **** this is quick so dropped one gear and just dropped in, looking around the bend i found my RP's and the bike just stuck, i passed between the two sorta concrete patches on the turn and also went through the dip bit the bike stayed solid, not even a wobble!!! I was well happy, i lifted the bike sorta square whilst drifting to the right of the track and then started breaking for Edwina's (I LOVE THIS CORNER!!) edwinas and Gerrards were my Fav places on the track and i feel probably my quickest!!! hard on the brakes and then dropping two gears, released the break then flung her in, floped her the other way and then we were on for the run to the hair pin, i short shifted on the short climb it gave me better scope for the Hairpin, taking a wide line meant i could cut back in which worked really well, passed a few bikes like that a few times there, then to the buss stop, this was probably my worst bit of the track to start with, but then the elbow was wicked, i even ground my boots out there!!!! then i was back on the straight.

I felt everytime that i was getting Quicker, and also getting some good advice from the Lads on the JHP 1098's really helped!

Well the final session what can i say i was on a mission to go quick and i felt it, the best feeling was reeling a R6 in who had the straight between us, in 6 laps, it was my mission and i done it, felt so good to throw it up the inside of the hair pin.

gerrards i was now taking in top gear and not having much tire left on the larger profile tyre, it felt so quick!! Knee was hopping on and off the floor. more off than on tho, i kept it up. But i have to confess i did have aslight moment ad Edwinas as the backed stepped out a litle, but i loved it, just powered out of it!!

One of the blokes that had been coming and chatting to me all day was impressed with my constant improvement so it was nice to get feed back that was positive.

Thanks to Steve for making this possible and to Mark for coming along too for the supposr and the pictures

I think i got the bussstop wrong in one of those!
