Rattler's slow Oulton report - it started as a cough ;)

What started as a cough when ticking-over on Friday's trackday turned into full-on Ducati Man flu by race 2

Basically, she'd had enough and threw the carbon toys out of the pram come race 2 on Saturday. I know that I brought the new R6 along for some trackday action but I really wasn't ready for the sulk the Monnie threw on race day

A fuel starvation problem (caused by god knows what) got worse over the weekend and left me struggling to get any decent drive out of corners in race 1 and resulted in my first DNS in 4 years of DD racing for race 2.

Apologies to those who I might have been rude to, as I was a miserable sod!!;
but having tried swapping/removing the injectors, ECU, PCIII and anything else i could get to, she went down to one cylinder and had had enough.

Many, many thanks to Chaz and Paul Payne for their time, patience and efforts to attempt to cure the ailment, and for all the positive support, but she was down to only one nostril!!! and was sulking almost as much as I was.

So a bad weekend, but many congrats to the podium kids, both old and new faces. I actually got to watch my first DD-A class race - looks really good.

As I'm not at Assen, I've got some time to sort it and will be back ready in Welsh Wales in June (without bringing the R6).

Thanks for all the support from the DSC and Ducatisti crew.

Rattler, sorry to hear about how your day went, oh and sorry for thinking you were Chaz and ****ing you off even more than you were already, your livid reaction makes PERFECT sense now! I have seen you racing ahead of our class B races at both Mallory and Oulton and its all good
