That was me just trying to be fair and give everyone a head start! Actually, I thought I had about 1k revs or so and actually had about 4k, cause of the noise of the other engines I couldnt really tell, and I was too concered to look at the lights instead of the revs, WOOPS, wont ever do that again! It was my first ever race. everyone has to make a bit of a **** up!

I wanted to catch them so bad! everytime i passed the pits i had to give a wave! i was so happy it all worked out, I was like a kid in a sweet shop! after the race i pulled into the pits and it wasn't until a spanner man from the next garage told me my result i knew where i finished!! "9th!!' AND after finding out i'd also taken almost 13 seconds off my lap time to 2.12! i still honestly am totally shocked and very very happy!
|
Guess that was me who you passed as I came in 10th, I got a better start on race 2, NO WHEELIE, but I was a bit slow and not very focussed on the first couple of laps and I lost about 5 places and then spent the whole race getting them back, you were in my sites as I rounded the first bend after the straight only to realise there were two guys in the way with flags waving us to the pits, only then did I realise the race was over? I didnt even notice the flag? Look forward to racing you at Pembrey! Nice racing good effort!

And those of us going to Assen will have accumulated another basketful of points before Pembrey.....
I replaced the alternator windings this morning, and now have 50+volts AC coming out of it once again, so no more running out of power halfway through a race ! No more bogging down because the battery cant run the pump AND ignition !
Here are the overall standings chaps in case you havent seen them.....I'm pleased as I managed to maintain my 12th position despite a terrible weekend......
