There will always be smaller grids at Pembrey than Brands, simply because most people live in the South East and Brands is there home circuit. The only club getting good grids at Pembrey is Noth Glos, because many of their membership are South West based. New Era are only reacting to entries recieved by closing date.
It may be our own fault we're getting a combined grid really, we (DSC) invited the Dutch to come and race at Brands next weekend, in return for our Assen invitation. The extra Dutch race will have put pressure on an already busy schedule.

Just phoned New Era as the post hads been and no tickets, They have this morning 8 days after posting collected my entry from the post office.

I had sent it in a jiffy bag and just posted it in a mail box and it was £0.06 under stamped for their new sizing and or weight legislation.

So he tells me I'm OK for Saturday, but am 2nd reserve for Sunday (on paper) He did tell me who was first reserve, but its not my place to post it on here.

The term Bugger springs to mind.

Our bike, #42, with Ollie aboard is first reserve. I agree with your comment, Phil.

Well as you know anything can happen in racing. we are allowed out for Sun qualifying but if the grid is full you go and park your bike and go to race control. Report that you are reserve and did not race, still have a chance for second race as we know what can happen in racing.

They send you some money back less insurance and used track time etc etc. so prob about 2/-6d.

To be honest i am well FOOKED OFF!! i rang them and blatently asked if i was too late to enter, there reply was No its fine, so Faxed over the entry, with payment for both sat and sunday, which i assume has been taken,

Tickets recieved yesterday with no mention of me being first reserve....if i wanna cancel its going to cost me £30 quid, i am ok for the saturday but 1st reserve for the sunday...

I spoke to them today expressing that i was seriously PI$$ED about not even being told about it all, and having to be told via the internet forum....

...what do i do people??? i just wanna make the track for the points...

i know anything can happen but i dont hold mych luck for it, i could be teaching and earning money TBH???

cheers people from one depressed Ollie

And why do we have to have combined grids for this round...

I hate to say it Ollie, but, as Lily has been telling us all year,

It's because we didn't get out entries in early, so there weren't enough entries on the day they set the program to justify two seperate grids!

So, entries in EARLY, not last minute!!!!!
