I put my entries in the day after the last DD meeting then save like the tight arse I am, put the balance on my Visa.
Combined grids are a pain for everyone.
Late entries on cost are an excuse that doesn't stand up in my opinion. If you can afford it a week before you can afford it a month before!
Pay for it or bear the consequences!!

Harsh Dave, but bang on the money everyone knows when the entries have to be in if you drag your feet and don't get in (or on the reserve list) those people have only got themselves to blame IMO. NE are trying to run a business and can't rely on Joe Bloggs' late entry so have a date set to make the final call on grids, fair play they've given people a few days grace here and there but they have to draw a line in the sand somewhere.
I'm guessing most DD'ers are closer to Brands than Donny, Oulton, Pembrey, Cadwell??? So people should know it's going to be a busy round so getting your entry in early has to be high on the agenda at this round over most I am guessing.
I hope this will change people's attitudes going forward now unless people want more mixed grids in the last 4 rounds.

Hey steady on, no amount of desire or good will make you have the money if you don't have it.
The process is understood just as it's understandable people are a bit disappointed.
Can we just get on with it now?

Last year NE stated that they required 25 in each class to guarantee separate grids, any less and we get mixed grids. As Zimbo points out above, even if we all get our entries in on time, we could still find ourselves with mixed grids and a reserve list. The only way to guarantee that you will be racing is to get your entry in early enough. I really thought Pembrey was going to be a mixed grid and think we only avoided it due to the lack of other races. I reckon it'll be mixed grids for the rest of the season. No different to the last 2 years then.

It depends on the circuit maximum limit and the number of riders that enter. New Era have to comply with the maximum number of riders allowed on the circuit and if there are more entries than available grid positions then there has to be a reserve list.

Thanks TP
I reckon Donny will be mixed grid and will be very busy as its the GP track
even if there is enough riders to have 2 grids ?
BTW this isn't a dig at NE just me being prepped and ready
to borrow a bit of cash and get my entry in asap... like now

That is, unfortunately, just the way it works. NE can't magic up extra grid capacity just because they have a few extra entries in, nor can any club. The maximum starters is the maximum, no negotiation, and at Brands it's 38. Other circuits may be higher, like 42 or even 46.

Donny grid is 40 and is a very busy schedule as they have club and superclub racing.
I would get entries in as soon as possible!!
Its a single long race, but no reason why you cannot consider doing a club race on Saturday for extra practice.

either CB500, SV or Sound of Thunder. TBH, Donington is a wide and fast circuit so it's not too bad being out there with faster bikes as there is plenty of space. As long as you are sticking to a racing line they will pass you.

Phil, I believe you might want to canvass opinion from Imola Duke about the state of psychological health of the CB500 riders. He has been known to speak with warmth on the subject.

LOL, Axe murderers if I recall.
I have my daughters wedding the following week, so maybe just stick to friendly DD.
I don't know which would be worse a racing injury, or the wrath of a psycopathic would be bride, if I turned up injured.

Your daughters wedding? You're giving her away?
You should really think about sitting this weekend out Phil, I mean she'd whip your butt if you couldn't walk down the aisle on her special day
