What a weekend. (its long ish)

Well arrived late friday night, ended up spooning with Ghost in his van so actually got a good nights sleep!

Saturday morning arrived, kit out the van all set up fuled up and off out for 1st untimed practice. on the way to the holding area i noticed that the bike was struggling to tick over, strange me thinks why is this? so still made it out to practice and to find that the bike wouldnt rev properly, i was actually starting the main straight at 7k by the end of it i was down to 3 k ish OMG!!! so finished the session with it missfireing like a trooper.

decided it could be the new plugs, so old ones went back in and also did a different little gizmo (its too late and im tired to think what its called lol) bike seamed better on way to the timed practice... but when out it was twice as bad, it had actually dropped the rear cylinder and was running on a missing front cylinder Not good...

after qual i was back of the grid for racing so set off to see what problems with bike were, it was the plugs breaking down.... great....lol new pllugs in from Nogs and bike was back on form... but i was not to good in the races learning the track at speed this time, but saying that had good battles in both races with Franco anf Graham blakey!! sorted lads,

sat night up the bar and drank, COOL!!!

Sunday morning i woke all bunged up feeling grim and to top it off the weather was grim too... went out to qualify and the bike ran well also it was wet out there so was a bit sedated in qually to ensure i made the 1st race, i put the bike 26tho on the grid whic in class was 10th so was happy, had Jason boswell one place up and Graham B in 8th so i knew there would be a good race....

1st race, well out for warm up lap and then lined up, all were ready lights were out and we were off!!!! i actually went backwards about 5 positions (umm not good me thinks!!) and then all of a sudden i woke up, and thats when my race began! i was loving the Track and the WET!! it was pelting it down at this point, i had a group of riders up front and i was chasing them down, in 1 lap i managed to pass 6 riders, then the next lap it was about the same, i had the best ballte with a class A rider Ali Bisson i think he is??? but he really enjoyed the battle too, and we both were impressed with it...
after that race i got my time sheet thinking that would be about 23rd etc, but no i wa 18th Overall, that gave me 5th place in class, i was well stoked!!!

2nd race.... Umm it was horrible the track was now dry and also i had cramp in my left shoulder and side of neck, i couldnt look round the corners, so i finished 16th that time in class, was on my own for the last 4 laps after a little dice with Ghost, was a good laugh that was....

All in all a great weekend, cheers for all peoples comments on my racing much appreciated...

Roll on the next one

Nice work Ollie! Good result, shame about the cramp (you getting old)! I wish I was racing but didnt get a place on Sun and my bike (and me) where not in racing shape anyway!

On the whole Im not having a good time with me bike! I left it at Pro Twins to fix her up, after my off, and Rob did do a sterling job of finding lots of cheap bits to fix her up but this included a standard monster seat and some very OTT rearsets that look like they should be on a WSB bike! Took her down to brands on Friday (if anyone was there mine was white with an orange nose) but on my first outing I was bricking it! I think I had lost my MOJO as I havent been on any bike since my off. I spent the whole time looking down rather than up to the next bend! As I continued my ankle started to burn and I also struggled to move my foot to find the gear selecter.

As im no good with the spanners I constantly have to leave it it other peoples hands to sort the bike out for me and its getting me nowhere! Anyway, hopefully will find a better seat for Donnington!

Keep the news coming about the race!

Then it must have been doubly embarrasing to be beaten by 8.6 seconds IN THE DRY by such an Oldie eh what Phil? Lol!

Actually it dont bother me one bit..

any one can get cramp at the end of the day..

It was not worth pushing it as i was not comfey for some reason, and not being able to look round the bends really didnt help, so for the sake of 2 postions and 8 seconds i think coming home in one piece and still with points was an achievement....

But on another note i did finish 5th in the wet.........how many seconds was that umm actually it was 1 whole lap LOL

LOL, we will be perfectly accurate and bring it down to 2 decimal places at 7.21 secs.
Horns will be suitably locked again at Donny.

cracking ride Ollie!!

I got a full spectator view of everyone's ability in the wet and I was impressed at how confident folks were!!

On Saturday I got to see the lines most folks took after my 'interesting' start and it was good to see.
