Sorry Folks.
Hi folks,
Would just like to apolagise for holding things up yesterday so there wasn't a trophy presentation, Especialy to Lily, as it was probably difficult not knowing what was going on. I was extremely cross when the race finished and if you spoke to me and i didn't talk back i'm really sorry, I was determined to get to race control to try and sort something out.
So it looks like beers on me at donny then,
Cheers folks,
Matt.

No need to apologise mister, I was just concerned for what was going on, but had to get going due to the long drive.
Didn't expect it to take so long tbh, had I realised I would have tried to sort out the prizegiving as I had asked Dom if he minded doing it this week.

I dont think anyone was concerned about a delay Matt, I'm just sorry at the outcome, but as Jon says, now we just have to move on. See you at Donny.

No probs Matty
AK & Bones were horrified at seeing at first hand the incident, and shocked that things were left to stand (not that thats any consolation).
Good luck at the next meetings young man

No worries Matt. It's every rider's right to lodge a protest if they feel it's justified, and you clearly did. Did Dom present you with your trophies?

Not problem Matt, just glad you're safe and managed to keep it upright and got over the line.
Take it easy Dude, and see you later in the year.

no, it couldnt possibly be the same... a fine, upstanding member of the community, a civil servant, indeed, an upholder of the law, could do nothing other than set a fine example to others...

I thought we were taking it easy. Someone's getting off rather light I reckon. EVERYBODY I spoke to afterwards seemed to be fully in support of Matt. He was not the only person who had issues with the way that Dom rode in that race. His riding was questionable on Saturday too and I believe someone had words with him then too.
No doubt it's unpleasant for Cleggy too but if he keeps riding the way he did then he's going to lose whatever respect and goodwill he has in the bank. I like the guy and get on OK with him, but he needs to remember that this is supposed to be a bunch of mates racing for fun and a plastic trophy. It's a dangerous enough sport as it is without somone playing silly beggars.

Gilps, with greatest respect I disagree that you are 'all mates racing for fun'.
In anyones nature competitiveness takes over, and the DD series has now strolled into its 4th year.
Notwithstanding your sentiments, the manouver on Sat and at least 1 other on Sunday were NOT 'racing' manouvers or passes, it was at best irresponsible riding and at worst dangerous riding - anywhere else (race club, not DD'ers) would have hauled the offending person up & read the riot act to them.
Maybe if that had happened on Sat then Sunday's effort might not have happened.
