Just invert the small lever on your g/box spline to be at 12 o'clock instead of 6 o'clock, reconect job done.

are you sure that you want one? you need to spend a lot of time on the bike to get used to it.. you may find it too much to think about just for the last few races...

I can't see why not as you move the lever it goes into gear but the opposite way all for free.

One can tailor the movement by altering the lever lengths if so desired.

My darling ak... i always use race shift, even on the road! and ghost me old mucca!! i have done this already, but i cant be arsed with the event of falling off and needing to replace everything instead of just one bar, just thinking of neatness thats all, also direct shifting must be better anyway!!

Fraid so, should be flying out on or around Aug 20th. I'm told its friggin hot as well. Place called Zhengzhou.

Damn sight easier if they just used numbers like in the menu.

So having analysed my Brands weekend I've decided I need to finish the season at Donny on a high, as I know my weak points I'll be looking to make them strengths.

Sorry for the hyjack Earl.

Bike: Bikeless :(

Direct off the spline is a much better way of doing things. Much less to go wrong and I have had a DNF thanks to a gear linkage rod coming undone ... I know it sounds like it's an easy swap over on the originaly shift but it never feels the same.

It also gives a more direct and positive feel direct off the spline. Don't knock the man, give him what he wants!

To many moving parts=more friction=less positive gear change. + more expensive to repair in the event of a crash + more to go wrong.

Yes but 95% ish, of the field are using the standard setup to no detriment, so conversely it can be swapped to give it the opposing direction with exactly the same feel, problems, what have you, as standard.

One isn't losing or gaining anything just changing the direction. Wouldn't do for me even tho' in my early days we did just that on Triumphs by reversing the g/lever and it was on the proper side.

Not saying you can't do it infact that's just what I did in the first place then found that the proper leaver works much better & as I said before less to get damaged/go wrong

I agree with Chass. Less moving parts should mean a more accurate gear change. However, I found that with the rearsets fitted, the reverse shift lever was too short and was too far from the footpeg. They seem to be the right length if you are running standard pegs but not rearsets, so both our bikes are running the standard linkage upside down.
