Is that a map so you can find the circuit Ollie ? We all know what your sense of direction is like - or rather lack of to be more accurate!! LOL

oh, cool, you can help me move house that week then??? i'll be moving to about 60 miles from snett...
1'25 last year on the 620. this year, i'm a stone heavier, but ran 1'28's using mallory gearing at snett, so should be around the 25 maybe even the 24 ballpark? if i get that clutch fixed!

got my highest place all season at Snett last year. Really looking forward to heading back. Must look into the test day, but with current funds its either that or a new set of tyres. Ive been running to same set all season (didnt do Pembrey and Assen, mind) so could probably do with a clean pair.

You'll definitely need that clutch fixed. I had slip on my 620 coming out of Russells, I am a little heavier than you though ...
I fully intend to sleeping half of each day I'm on holiday and going to the gym and not doing a lot of anything else!

Sounds like your regular day to me. Why waste your holidays doing something you can do in work time.

it's ageees away
I am hoping that I I don't feel as dead as I did last year as I liked the circuit but had no energy and just wanted to curl up and sleep.
Not going to do as much this year but might try and get a trackday in before the race as I wont be able to ride a bike until that week so will have had 6 weeks with no exercise and no bike riding

DD....now that would be giving the game away.........but I was pleased....and the times were subject to the vagaries of me pushing the timer button on my bars on the DD bike......
But I know I'll enjoy the race, and when you are in that frame of mind you usually do better anyway.......

Good luck Dave and to all you DDer's.. Must admit reading about it is getting me tempted for next year!
I got Pb's of 1.19.08 on my GSXR 750 and 1.17.16 on the 1098s, so all going well wouldn't embarrass myself or get lapped in DD
Mind you they are Pb's and probably mean averages would see a more realistic 1.20/21 and 1.18/19.

Getting around a racetrack with 50'odd horsepower and standard diablo's is a little different than sticky rubber (SC Pro's etc) and bags of ponies but I agree, I wouldn't have thought you'd get lapped or whatever.
Only one way to find out, get your entries in!

Agreed.. Racetecs (K1 front & K2 rear) on the GSXR and sticky Corsa's on the 1098 with 250 to 300% more ponies a great advantage LOL
So perhaps I should be thinking low 1.20's?
Sounds good though, so seriously thinking about next year.. Did a couple of seasons in Sound of Thunder on my 996SPS then re-located and work issues 4 years back meant it was a no no.
Fancy getting back into racing but maybe someting not quite as frantic (big HP wise).

The lap record for a Class B bike is 1:26.43 (1:21.64 on a Class A bike) so if you could pump out low 1:20's you'll clear off! I think you should get your entries in!
On a DD bike you need to take a book with you on Revett Straight.

Did a session on a mates RVF 400 there 2 years back and watched all the R1's etc disappear down the Revitt and front straights! Don't know my times on that but suspect high 20's.
I'm kinda guessing that DD would be 2 to 4secs slower than my GSXR so optimistically 1.24/26 should be ok.
I'll have to chat with you guys re: regs, bike etc cuz don't know much about that class.
Cheers
Alan

I was 7 seconds slower on my 620 to my 998 last year. I admit that the 998 wasn't very well sorted (should rally have changed the sprockets ) and I wasn't exactly blistering pace on the 620 but it's a tricky circuit to get right on a DD bike as TP says I considered taking a picnic lunch for Revitt
