The weight of the Desmo RR?

Does anyone know what the weight is going to be of the Desmo RR motogp replica - dry and wet?

Other than idle (idol? sic) curiosity can I ask why you want to know?

Just interested really, that's all, to see how close they will get to the motogp bike which is apparently about 148kg's. If I was spending about £40 grand I would like to see it as near as to the race bike as possible (I appreciate that it costs far more than that to build the race bike). I mean the wsbk 1098R for next year has to be apparently no lighter than 168kg's and the road 1098 is no more than about 183kg (wet - with termignoni race exhaust etc). So just wondering if they will get the road going Desmosedici RR in at about 163kg with race exhaust?

I have an RR on order, and have similarly been trying to find out about this

The supplying dealer thinks it won't be much lighter than the 1098, but I am hoping it will weigh in around the 160-165KG bracket you refer to

I was told to expect a deluge of information after WDW but other than a few pics there seems to be very little hard information, still, about final spec., delivery dates, etc.

Still, gives me longer to save up to pay for the bugger :-)

MCN are having a countdown until their test run in a few days. I'd expect some info and vids on their site, and data in the mag to follow.
