1000ss new owner

Not much activity in this section so I thought I'd restart it ,I am now the proud owner of a 1000ss have had her for 3 weeks now and I am realy pleased.
Bit difficult to start at first when cold but I think that was more to do with me than the bike as I now give her full choke and dont touch the throtle and have had no problems apart from when I put the steering lock on and side lights by mistake ( I then found out how hard a bike it is to push start ).
I love the way the power delivery is after coming off a blade it feels almost lazy, this is not my first Duke but when you have been away from then you forget just how different they are.
Going up to Scotland on her in a couple of weeks with my two sons, one pillon with me the other on his zx6r, hope the weather is ok.

Bad hair day was it?
Maybe someone should a Duke N' Dog thread...? They seem to creep into the pics almost as much as the obligatory wheely bin.

Seriously though nice bike

welcome along, a very good looking bike you have there
ah so steering lock plus lights = flat battery. I was wondering how the previous owner of my bike ran it flat while parked. thanks for that.
