I had an R6 swing arm re-anodised in Black at :
A1 Anodising Ltd in Felbridge nr East Gristead, was only around £40 from memory and looked fantastic, much better than thick old powdercoat

one little thing to watch if you go down the anodised route is that depending upon type of alloy (6000 or 7000 series ) and welding rod used there is the possibility the anodising won't be a uniform colour on the weld. I'd think Ducati would have considered that their graphic designers might want a black ano swingarm as well as bare so it might be OK.

Best thing for the swingarm. That polished look just seems out of place. A nice crackle finish would look good, or powder coat as you suggest. Just thought I'd air my view. Too far north to help. Would like to see the finished result.

poeder coating
i did the swing arm myself in powder coat black. The other member is right the weld will not anodize the same as raw aluminium so i would steer clear. i used windridge powder coating in st peters near broadstairs where i live. you must remember to mask off all surfaces not required to be finished in black and remember the clamp for ajusting the chain which you release will require masking whice is quite difficult. also when i did mine i put back the top quality bearings i could purchase which are manufactured in austria. if you need to give me a call on 07973445357 chris.

Have you thought about stove enamelling Morley Bros in Cambridge.
I had my fork lowers and calipers done. See Here

Hi,
Neil at A1 has done my anodizing for years, he'll tell you straight away if it'll anodize o.k... the welds aren't the problem, it's the cast stuff. Although this part/seaction has to be high strength so the alloy has to be purer so it should be o.k. The less strength needed the cheaper the alloy manufacturers use and the cheap stuff doesn't anodize well..... you could always polish it properly like I did... probably not your cup of tea though
